Production Operator

Help produce consistent, dependable products by operating assigned equipment, completing production checks and keeping accurate shift records. This hands-on role works with production, quality and maintenance colleagues to keep daily operations safe and organised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the work area, materials and equipment using the approved start-up checklist.
• Operate assigned machinery only after training and authorisation; follow operating instructions and safety procedures.
• Check output against the agreed specifications, record results and separate non-conforming items for review.
• Record production quantities, material use, downtime and waste accurately.
• Report unusual noise, faults, quality issues and unsafe conditions promptly; never bypass machine guards.
• Support packing, labelling and stock movement with correct identification and traceability.
• Keep work areas clean and provide a clear handover of outstanding issues at the end of a shift.

What you bring

• Ability to read operating instructions and complete basic written and numerical records.
• Careful attention to quality, safe working practices and housekeeping.
• Reliable communication, teamwork and willingness to learn equipment-specific procedures.
• Previous manufacturing, packing or warehouse experience is useful; describe your actual responsibilities and equipment exposure.
• Ability to carry out the essential duties safely, with reasonable accommodation where appropriate.
• State your availability and whether you are authorised to work in Botswana. Do not include identity documents at this stage.
