Engineering Intern — Production Management

Gain practical exposure to production planning, process monitoring and continuous improvement. Support the production team with accurate information and small improvement tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Help collect daily output, downtime, waste and quality-check data.
• Assist with production schedules, material-readiness checks and progress tracking.
• Observe processes and document workflows, standard work and handover steps.
• Prepare simple spreadsheets and visual summaries of production performance.
• Support supervised time studies and improvement activities; validate observations with the team.
• Document findings, actions and learning for review by the supervising team.

What you bring

• Studying or recently completed a qualification in industrial, manufacturing or production engineering, operations management or a related discipline.
• Basic spreadsheet skills, numerical accuracy and interest in manufacturing processes.
• Ability to communicate observations clearly and work respectfully with operational teams.
• Willingness to follow site safety rules and undertake practical supervised learning.
• Coursework or projects involving process improvement, planning or quality are useful; paid work experience is not essential.
• State your study status, availability and any institution-specific placement requirements.
